EPISODE SEVEN- DADDY ISSUES

Karyna’s POV

I sat still for a while, staring into the empty space where Julian was standing not quite long ago in utter confusion.

What happened?

I couldn’t quite process why he suddenly left.

All I knew was that he probably had an emergency.

It stung a little, for some reason.

“Should I wait for him to come back, so that I can ask him what his emergency was?” I muttered under my breath but quickly shook my head.

No. We aren’t that close enough for me to be meddling in his business.

But should I still be here? I mean, I don’t have the keys to lock the apartment up, so wouldn’t it be safer for me to stay just in case?

“No, Karyna,” I scolded myself knowing fully well I'm just making excuses to hang around him.

They were the ones who brought me in here, and they were the ones who left so abruptly. I don’t have to take responsibility for leaving, or anything.

Besides, I was their next door neighbor, it would also be very awkward for them to still meet me in their apartment.
