Chapter 3

When Ellie woke up this morning she didn’t plan her death, she never imagined her death would come this way and the Alpha of the Crimson pack would be the one to end her life. She has not even done a lot of things, like playing in the rain, wearing her mother’s clothes, try to grow a mustache, get a pet and the list goes on like that. Why does life have to be this unfair?

She stared at the person meaning to kill her and she was a little bit comforted, she would be killed by a handsome manic rude Alpha. He was just watching her without saying a word.

“You won’t benefit anything from killing me” She finally said, trying to negotiate for her life, as usual, he only raised an eyebrow, meaning she should elaborate her statement, she was learning how to communicate with him.

“I can be useful to you, plus if you kill me, there would be a war between your pack and mine, don’t forget I have the best trained warriors” She said with confidence.

“My pack is not scared to take yours on and your pack will be smoking in no time” He took a step closer to her.

“Stop!” She shrieked rising her hands up to stop his advancement.

“Like I said, I can be of help”

“How?”

“I can train your warriors” She looked up hopefully, praying it works out for good.

“For sparing your life?”

“Yes, no?” Another raised eyebrow “I want something in return”

“What?”

“I…we…we get married”

Silence

The intoxicating smell came again from him and she would be a fool not to realize what that signify, Helen was dancing round her head already.

“Why?” He asked

“It would be easy for me to help train your warriors”

“Or for you to save face, cover your shame and the disgrace you gave your pack members tonight?”

Damn him to hell and back “And we should be getting married in the first place” No reaction from him “We are mates, aren’t we?” Right now she was so confused, why would he be so indifferent to her, not even acknowledging his mate.

“I don’t want a mate”

“So you knew we were mates?” She felt anger and rejection, not a really good feelings

He shrugged as if it was a common thing “Like I said, I don’t want a mate, moreover, not a foolish one who would trend off on her own without protection”

A blow and insult all in one statement, Ellie laid on the trees to support herself and prepared her mind to ask the unforgivable question. “Are you going to reject me?”

“I should, you are not a virgin are you? Gave it all to your husband to be, Sebastian, what else do you have left for your mate, you would have married him if things went right, forgetting your own real mate?”

Ellie felt sick to her stomach, her eyes watered as she stared at the beast in front of her, a beast without emotions and care for others emotions, a beast who turned out to be her maybe, oh Moon Goddess, was this a prank? Why would the Moon Goddess mate her with someone like him? What was she to even say because somehow he was right.

“You won’t reject me, right?” She said, her voice faint

“If he rejects us, I’m leaving you too, cause he’s right, I warned you about marrying Sebastian” Helen said, adding to her headache

“Just be quiet, will you?” She half yelled at her wolf

“What?” He asked thinking she was talking to him

“I was speaking to my wolf”

“I will take you up on the offer, but don’t expect me to behave like a caring mate, we only get married to save you and your pack from shame and you get to train my warriors” He paused “So?”

“Yes” For now, she accept whatever he says but she would change his mind as time goes on”

“When the whole packs know we are mates, you move in with my pack and we merge our packs, mind you, we are not going to share a room, you don’t interfere with my life and I yours, in my pack you don’t talk when not asked to, any questions?”

Ellie just stared at him speechless, well she can keep on with all his rules can’t she? She would and prove him wrong. “No… wait just one question”

He raised an eyebrow, that means she should go ahead and ask her question. Good she’s learning. “Why don’t you attend the Full Moon Feast?”

“Your question is not relevant to the current topic” He started turning to leave

“Wait!” She called after him, he stopped but didn’t look back at her “I can’t find my way back to the event center”

“Foolish, follow me” He told her and started walking away, she felt like smacking his head from the back but that would be risky, he might be her mate but she can’t guarantee if he won’t kill her in an instant. Was this how it feels to have a mate? Was the Moon Goddess punishing her for all her crimes? She looked up at her mates back, he was dressed in a rugged jeans and white T-shirt that brought out his manliness and power. The way he walked was with grace and authority, everything about him was just to perfect and there she was with flaws and all.

“Mate is not happy with us, I don’t even know the name of mate's wolf, and its all your fault Ellie” Helen whined around in Ellie’s head

“Shhh”

“Don’t shhh shhh me, I want mate to accept us”

“Not now Helen, I don’t need this” Ellie screamed in her head at her wolf

“You never listen to me, and that’s your first flaws, you never listen nor do you ask me for permission to do things”

“HELEN!” Ellie screamed out frustrated, she didn’t noticed the Alpha in front of her stopping, she walked straight into him, when their body touched, she felt shocked and noticed him tensing. Oh shit
