Darius and my father dropped me, Li, and Max in the Mansion, and they left for some meetings.
I know what Darius is doing. He is good at reading my mind. He is giving me time to digest everything that is happening lately.
I don't know how to navigate through my feelings.
I want to live in the present, for now. I look at my friends and try to smile at something Max was saying.
We were laughing at something Max said. Suddenly he stops walking, we keep going forward laughing and joking before we even realized that he is not coming with us. We stop and turn back, and notice that he is looking at something behind us or in this situation ahead of him.
His face is pale and his shoulders are tense.
"Hey Max, what happened" Li calls from a few feet away from him.
"Nothing, you and Thea go to her room. I will come in a few minutes" he tells Li.
He is still not looking at us.
"What happened to him?" I ask Li.
