England (Cookie)
I'm writing a story about a girl who's Dad is her enemy, she has no body, no love, nothing. Just her and her frustrated self but the thing is she is not someone who's going to give up, she's still pushing on, trying to be somebody in life.
I guess the book has something to do with my life but not exactly, my character doesn't run away from home (like I did) and my character doesn't have a mom, friends or any sibling, in fact aside from her Dad she's also bullied in school.
In my book I'd been able to express the pain she goes through but how she's trying hard to conquer it is more important. I didn't just pick up a pen and start writing, I sat down in a quiet place so I could put so much thoughts into it before writting it.
England, (Cookie)Author's note: some chapters would be in a first persons POV from now on. Note that. Thanks......Something soft hit my head but I continued sleeping, then a nip on my skin followed by slaps on my poor leg but I just couldn't open my eyes, they were heavy with sleep. Then the unexpected happened, a pair of hands dragged my legs downwards, I struggled to stay on the bed as I gripped the sheets but it seems like my efforts was not enough because the next thing is i fell face flat on the floor.
Please follow my profile ??*********Deardre's POV: The taxi that we are in pulled to a stop, In a nice compound filled with about eight different bungalows.I noticed most of the houses here weren't painted. well, except one that was painted with a blue color and seems like it needed to be repainted. When we alighted from the car, three kids that were playing with the sand that was heaped at one corner of the large compound, rushed towards us and hugged us.I didn't even know them, I felt so welcomed."what did you buy for us from Oyinbo land?" one of the kids asked.Cookie turned to me and said "this is uncle Kay's grandson" then she looked down

Deardre's POV:"He left. We tried calling him but he won't answer his calls"I was disappointed "no problem, I knew it was useless afterall-""Deardre, I'm really sorry""it's not your fault Cookie, no need to be sorry"She shook her head "no, no, I raised false hopes in you and then this? I'm really sorry"."you should really stop saying sorry to the smallest things, including the ones you didn't do. If Jordan really loves me and if it was meant to be, then he'll come back" I told her.she was about to open her mouth and say something when a knock distracted her, she walked to the door and opened it in a way I couldn't see the person that had knocked.First, it seems like she wanted to shout at the person then she stopped, turned around to look at me, gave me a weird wink and left the room.I decided to g

Cookie's POV:"Deardre, you are walking too slow.""I'm tired." she whined behind me and tried to catch up with me.I rolled my eyes inwardly. "you are always tired.""C'mon, why won't I be tired? It's not easy to breath in oxygen and breath out carbon dioxide everyday, now is it?."I shook my head and listened to the sound of my slippers slapping against the market cemented floor as i take each step.I love how the market is full of life and always a beehive of activities. Men butchering meats, women fishes. Little kids hawking different types of things like, sachet pure water, mangos, drinks, beans roll, soya milk and e.t.c.What I do not like was how the dust and dirt stick to your clothes or leg while walking. How you needed to walk a long distance before finally buying all the stuffs you needed. Also, I do not like th
"You can't get married to a white woman!" King Obi repeated in a much louder and angry voice. We all freezed in shock and fear that I think I was no longer breathing. I felt Deardre was about to cry so I gave her hand a little squeeze to encourage her."papa like I said, she is my choice and we have a son already." Prince Chinonso said in a more apologetic voice, like he was trying not to get offended by his parents reaction when he told them he wanted to get married to Deardre. We had arrived at the village an hour ago, we enjoyed the ride here. The village smelt of mostly cassava, it was Sandy and quite bushy with alot of kids singing and playing around. The palace was beautiful and big, more like everything I was expecting it to look like but I wasn't expecting King Obi to react this way.I was expecting Queen Obi or princess Amanda to react this way but not him."have
