Time neve waits for anyone. It goes on at its own pace. Two and half years have already passed since Manik moved in with Nandini's family. A lot has changed in this period.
Now Manik has become completely comfortable in Texas and he has to thank Rudra for helping him all the while, also Pallavi and Kabir. They were also there by his side and never made him feel as an outsider and treated him like their own son.
One more thing has changed and that is Manik got to know about Nandini's feelings. She herself told him about it. Though she didn't mention that her innocent crush had converted into deep blooming love, she accepted in front of him about her having romantic feelings for him.
Manik was baffled when he heard Nandini. Right that

Nandini's voice was dripping with longing pleas for love as she sang these lines and completed the song looking down. Her voice was screaming, "Please, Manik, love me once. Please love me, hold me as yours just once. I will be blessed with your single touch, my burning heart will relieve." But Manik didn't care. He didn't care that someone was singing in his love. Someone whose heart was burning to ashes with all his ignorance. Manik, he was sitting there at a little distance from Nandini with his laptop on his leg, preparing some important design with the frowns covering his forehead. He acted as if his complete attention was on his work. He couldn't hear, if anyone was singing in fron
F L A S H B A C KA WEEK LATER Manik was descending through stairs when he met Pallavi there. "Have you seen Nandini, Manik?" She asked worriedly. Manik shook his head negatively."No, aunty. I didn't see her. Why? What happened?" Pallavi held her head. "What will I do to this girl? She isn't eating properly these days. I've been noticing her since we came back from our trip. Last night she skipped her dinner and she didn't have her breakfast either. I'm looking for her but she wasn't in her room. You also didn't see her. No problem. Ask her to meet me, if you see her." "Okay, aunty." Pallavi left from there and Manik let out a breath. He knew why Nandini was behaving like this but he didn't know what to do. After thinking a little, he went to the guest room where Zoya was staying. He knocked on the door waiting for Zoya to open th
Hrita Roy's husband, Ishan Roy was an army officer. Now he is retired. His appearance, physical structure is very handsome in all aspects. His look still catches everyone's attention. Their only son Rudra Roy got the physical structure of his father and mother's milky white skin tone.Rudra established his own construction business firm after completing his degree in civil engineering. It's been around 3 years since he started the firm and it's already doing very well. But in all these years, it's happening for the first time that he failed to focus on his work.It felt every cell of his body and his mind had vowed to go on strike. They wouldn't let him focus on his work, if he didn't see the face of the love of his life.He didn't see Zoya for a month. Not just a month, it'

She was leaving pretending not to see him."I was right, you're becoming more and more mannerless with passing days. Someone elder to you is sitting here in front of you and you are walking away pretending that he doesn't exist. What's wrong with you, Zoya?"Zoya was having a battle with herself which she couldn't continue and argued back with him. "Don't you have the lowest shame left, Rudra? How can you act so cool after taking such a big step? Shameless creature."Rudra looked at her with an innocent face. "What are you saying, Zoya? What have I
F L A S H B A C KAamna was cooking a lot of dishes today as Roy’s were shifting to the flat next to theirs. So, she had invited them for lunch. Hrita was her best friend’s sister and they were almost of the same age, so they were quite close to each other. In between, she went to her daughter’s room to call her. “Zoya, do you remember that we’re having guests for lunch today?” She asked, gritting her teeth.Zoya was working on some designs. Hearing her mother’s voice, she looked up with a frown. “I remember, mom. So what do you want me to do? They’re not here yet.”“Can’t you help me a little in the kitc
F L A S H B A C KJessica was disturbing a lot more than usual these days. She clinged to Manik all the time. She always looked for ways to stick to him. She had an intoxicating smile on her lips all the time that made Manik feel more terrible. He hated it extremely when she came around him. While buying his flat, he took a loan from this company thinking he was working here, so it would be easier for him to repay it. He was repaying it slowly but it was not done completely yet. That's why he couldn't resign from this job either. His flat was still in progress and needed some more days before he could finally shift there. If he resigned from here now, then he would need time to find another job and without a job, it was impossible to complete the flat. He was stuck in this stupid situation.
F L A S H B A C KRudra and his family went to Zoya's flat for lunch. They had almost arranged everything. Only a few things were left that they could wrap before night.Rudra was quietly sitting on the chair. Hrita asked a few times what happened to him? But he gently smiled and said nothing.Zoya was arranging the table while looking at him from the corner of her eyes from time to time. She wondered why his eyes were so red. She felt bad seeing him like that.Everyone settled to have lunch. After lunch, Aamna was serving the cake to Rudra but he stopped her."I don't want cake, aunty. I'll have ice cream."Zoya's heart fell upon hearing him. Ru
F L A S H B A C KNandini walked near Manik. "Your coffee."Manik didn't react even after hearing Nandini's voice as if he knew that Nandini would come. Nandini felt that Manik didn't want to talk to her. He seemed to be in a serious mood. He dropped the rest of the cigarette and looked away. Nandini put the cup on the nearby table and moved closer to Manik and hugged him tightly from behind.Manik sighed silently and looked at the darkness. He wanted to hug her too, he wanted to hold her in his embrace and hide her from the world. But he couldn't.Nandini snuggled her face in his back and mumbled, "Sorry." In her sweet voice.
