60. Burnt Feeling

Next morning, Manik and Nandini were sleeping peacefully in each other's embrace, forgetting the world. The sun raised a long back but the rays failed to sneak into the room of the love birds, passing the thick layer of curtains. So, the room was still very dark. 

They were disturbed by the ringtone of Manik's phone. First call went unattended as it didn't affect a single ounce of their sleep. Second call made Nandini stir in her sleep. She groaned and hid herself in Manik's neck as if it would save her from the sound. But it didn't go as expected. 

When the phone started ringing once again, she couldn't sleep anymore. Being irritated she moved out of Manik's hold and tried finding the phone with her closed eyes. She managed to find the phone and picked up the call without even checking the caller's id.
