Aurelia's POV

" I don't understand, what do you mean she doesn't talk?" I made eye contact with Judah and tilted my head slightly. He shrugged, I guessed he was as confused as I was.

Reagan glanced at the door, probably contemplating if it was too late to run, she rubbed the back of her neck.

"She's mute. She hasn't spoken a word since her mom died."

" What the fuck do you mean by that?" Judah stood up. I quickly reached out to him and dragged him down. He looked ready to attack.

Judah whipped his head around and gave me a confused look, I patted his hand.

"Let me handle this, Judah. You're only going to scare her away, she's going to run and you're never going to see your daughter again." I let my voice go low and made sure he was the only one that heard. I didn't need Reagan getting ideas from me.
