“Fine Anabel if that is what you want.” Carlos said shaking his head. “I guess I am going to have to do what you’ve asked, otherwise I know you’re going to go on your own.” He said looking at her again.

“You’re damn right I would go alone.” She said playing with the bubbles again. “I don’t want you going because I know they will use you against me, or use you to get me to do what they want.” She said shaking her head.

“Did they use Marcus to get what they wanted?” Carlos said narrowing his eyes.

“Well yeah.” She said without looking at him. “I almost let them kill him, but then I couldn’t. there is something about him that I love, and I know you’re not going to understand that, but I really don’t care.”
