Awake

Point of View: Amayra

I was sleeping very comfortably under the soft mattress. Then I opened my eyes and squinted them as the sunlight was peeking through the curtains.

I had a small smile on my lips as I remembered I had slept on the same bed as Karan.

“Awake” I heard Karan’s voice under me.

I looked at him and nodded with a smile.

Then I realized.

Karan was under me and I am on top of his body lying on my stomach against his bare chest.

And I had just rubbed off his chest with my cheeks.

A shriek escaped from my mouth and jumped to the side.

He was laughing and I was an embarrassed mess.

“I am sorry. I didn’t know when I climbed..” I apologized but didn’t know what to say next.

“When you climbed on top of me” he completed my sentence.

My cheeks were heated and I know they must be looked like ripe tomatoes right now.

He then sat up and come closer to me. He was on his knees in front of me and I was sitting.
