THIRTY-EIGHT
LUCIAN:
I saw her in the hallway running towards the female restroom so I followed her.
Getting there, I heard soft sobs coming from one of the stalls.
She was crying.
I was about to tap on the door but I didn't feel good about it so I stopped.
Maybe she needs some time alone but I'll be here for her when she comes out. I told myself.
Fighting the strong urge to open the door, I rested by its side, waiting for her.
Her continuous heart wrenching sobs tugged at my heartstrings. It was becoming so hard to not break in.
