Unwanted

Celia had made it down to overlook the others making food for the entire group. Rations were divided evenly, and the smell made her mouth water.

The cooks, Tessa, Jericho, and Lynn, were busy preparing cooked meats, toasted bread, and placing out water bottles around the carved lunch table.

Celia talked and smile to the others, though, the gesture foreign on her. She'd been trapped at the Markets for who knows how long, and now just trying to behave normally was...strange.

She took a seat, not wanting to bother Jonathan and Nova, and began to eat her food with her fingers. The meat was delicous, thoroughly cooked with a smoky taste, the bread slightly burnt. Celia finished off her plate, belly full as she stared off lazily into the horizon.

To be honest, Celia preferred life like this instead of the city. The only sounds here were better than the busy streets. And she didn't feel the need to constantly look over her shoulder.
