Chapter 45

Leon and Isabella exited at the back gate of the palace. Because they dressed in disguise, they passed the palace guards undetected.

When they were out of the palace, they walked a little distance and they arrived at a place where a tall man with a ponytail was standing with a horse.

"Thank you." Erik smiled.

The tall man gave the reigns of the black horse to Erik.

"Isn’t this your horse Shadow?" Isabella asked.

"Yes he is." Erik said. "You are very observant." He smiled at her.

Isabella looked at the tall young man that was standing next to Shadow. He looked familiar but she couldn’t seem to remember where she met him.

"Good morning princess Isabella." The tall young man slightly bowed before her. She nodded back at him. "I am Kyler. I am Sir Erik’s retainer." He smiled at her.

"Have I met you before?" She blurted out of curiosity.

Kyler seemed to be uneasy.

"You might have seen him once when he went to meet me." Erik smiled.

"Umm, maybe?" She said still confused.

Erik mounted his
