Tanner In The Center: chapter 29

Sitting at home in a real bind Harris pours himself some liquor to drink while he contemplates, Sarah being back is triggering for him. Sarah Stiles knows too much about Harris to be in his current life, one he's tried so hard to build outside of her. Hearing a knock on the door Harris looks at his watch not expecting anyone at this hour, so it is easy to detect who it might be.

He gets up opening the door to Tan "hey what are you doing here?"

"Just needed to talk"

"Sure come in"

Harris walks away expecting Tan to follow but Tan stands near the door after shutting it, he looks very uneasy. "Are you ok?" Tan shakes his head afraid to speak "what's the matter?"

The words are harder for Tan to say than he expected "I don't think we should see each other anymore" his low voice carry towards Harris who isn't standing close.

"Why? Did I do something wrong?" Tan doesn't look at him in the eyes afraid he'll see Harris's heart breaking, he's really not ready to lose Tan.
