49.2-Tantrum

“Wake up, Damien,” yelling my command but not meaning to.

He only stirs, making me push at his shoulder, repeating it. His eyes eventually shoot open, looking bloodshot. Staring at me, he quickly looks away, ashamed, rolling over and covering himself more with the blanket.

“Justine, why did you bring her here? Go away,” he barks in anger.

“No, Damien, I said I wouldn’t cover for you,” she spits back just as harshly.

“I mean it! Go away,” he growls from the pillow.

Justine shakes her head, and neither of us moves. Damien has never spoken to her or me like that before. His tantrum is shocking but fuels me all the same. I muster up all my courage, directing it at him.

“I said to get up, Damien,” I bellow while pulling the covers away.

Justine starts laughing, and I have to hold in a gasp. Damien’s completely naked and now trying to hide his morning girth. I ignore his feeble attempt and continue my ranting.
