Chapter 58: Leana

We arrive in the city where Holstin Enterprises, Inc. maintains offices the following morning. My family runs a company that does two things, construction and protection. My father, soon to be my brother Xander, is CEO of the company and hires werewolves from other packs or even lone wolves who need work to do the things that we’re good at and can easily do without raising human suspicion.

When we arrive, I take the elevator to the 12th floor, the floor where we have offices. My father chose this floor because humans, with their suspicious nature, don’t have elevators that go to the 13th floor. It’s considered bad luck or something but it means that the 12th floor is the only floor other than the first floor with high ceilings. Holstin Enterprises bought the entire floor and has housed transient wolves as well as others who need a safe place to stay for a long time.
