I looked into Carlos's eyes.  They had that anger and firmness to them, but also that beauty that I adored.

"Do you understand?"  He asked me again.

I nodded.  " I understand. "

Carlos got out of the car, walked over to my side, unlocking the car, opening the door, and letting me out.  He put his hand on my lower back as was expected of him, but was light to the touch as I was still sensitive to touch.  I made sure to wear a dress that covered my back, so that my stitches wouldn't be seen.
