Ch 48 - It Was A Beast

AZALEA’S POV

I was sure that I would go insane because of this world!

So much had happened to me that I was failing to see the positives in being here. Things were definitely not turning out the way that I’d hoped they would. I was supposed to be well on my way to finding my parents, and yet here I am worried for my life.

Hiding from a certain black wolf.

The thought of the huge beast took me back to that night – the night I truly feared something for the first time in my life. I didn’t know why I’d spent so much time with Clayton. It had been both unnerving and comforting, which is what put me on edge about the situation.

It wasn’t supposed to be like that.

We spent more than a week in each other’s company, barely saying anything to each other. He’d only talk if he was asking me if I was ok, which was every thirty minutes at best. That’s the part I can accept though. The part that scared me, or at least rattled me, was when he held me when I felt like the evil was consuming me whole.
