Chapter 11

BIANCA'S POV

I stood there, feeling overjoyed, a satisfied smile spreading across my face. That’s how it’s done, girl!

She was about to flounce out when Dylan chased after her.

“Claire, honey, please listen,” he trailed after her like a persistent fly.

He held her arm and in a swift move, she turned and slapped him. But it wasn’t a powerful slap. It felt like paper flipping through a gentle breeze. I bet I could’ve done it better this time.

“Don’t lay a finger on me again,” she warned, looking fragile as she breathed heavily. “If you do, I’ll scream, and I’ll make sure to get a restraining order against you.”

After saying that, Dylan didn’t try to touch her again. She stormed out, using the back of her hand to cover her nose as she tried to hold back her tears.

“Are you happy now?” Dylan turned to me, looking like an enraged beast. Should I be scared? No, there was a public place. There was nothing he could do to harm me.
