Chapter 96

RICHARD’S POV

I was starting to get impatient. I was already done with my drink and snacks and about to order another yet Ben was nowhere to be seen.

I turned on my phone and saw a bunch of missed calls from B, but I ignored them for now. Glancing at the time, I realized almost an hour had passed. It was getting close to noon, and more customers were coming in, filling up the place little by little.

Relaxing back in my seat, I hissed lowly and glanced away from the entrance door. What could be keeping him? Has his shit ass dad not released him from prison yet? Or has he finally realized what a spoilt dangerous kid he’d been raising all these years and decided to let him stay locked up there to learn his lesson and change for good? I hoped so. But Ben never changes. That was a billion light-years away from him. No amount of time he spends in prison, rehab or advice can change him. I just wish his dad was here so I could tell it to him straight to his face.
