Closing the room behind me, I had just taken only a few steps towards the study when I remembered that I forgot my phone in the room and turned back to take it but paused when I held the handle, hearing her speaking inside.

“ Excellent!! First you claim to be in love with someone and then leave them in a strange house's strange room alone.” My eyes went wide in surprise.
