Donate acted normal and innocent like every other day even though she was literally shaking inside.

"Are you okay? I heard your mom wasn't feeling fine. I paid for her medical bills already." Roman told her as she served him his food.

She felt so shocked to hear this.

How did he know her mom wasn't feeling fine?

"Why didn't you tell me?" Roman asked her.

She swallowed the lump in her throat to answer him.

"I just don't want to bug you." She said shortly and curtly.

"You were never a burden to me, Dinara. If you need anything, don't hesitate to ask me." He told her.

"Thank you, don." She left the dining room as hot tears rolled down from her eyes.

She shouldn't have accepted Ksana's offer. She thought.

Ksana blackmailed her with her mother after knowing her mom was sick.

But she didn't know her mom was now fine under Roman's protection.

She knew she couldn't tell him not to eat the food or else, she would be caught and executed but she made his least favor
