Amber

When I walk into the kitchen the next morning, my skin prickles with awareness. It feels like I’m being watched, and when I turn around, I find a man with long, straight white hair watching me with yellow eyes.

He is gorgeous.

Perfect skin and a perfect smile to match. High cheekbones and thin lips, but not too thin. It’s just enough to give him that air of importance, and then there are his ears - they are rather pointy, elf-like almost.

Who is this person?

I stare at him, and he smirks. His expression is one of curiosity, and I gulp when the mate bond immediately bursts to life between us like a flame someone just held gasoline over. The pull between us is so intense that I have to look away not to get sucked in.

“Oh my god...” I swear under my breath and speak in a soft tone. “Vandaya wasn’t joking when she claimed her son was my mate, was she?”
