"Rose Mary, ain't you going to pick up that phone of yours? It has been ringing like forever." Janet called out to her.

"Better come downstairs, you have a guest, I'm sure you would rather not keep her waiting." She added.

"Give me some minutes, I'm almost done, I will be down soon." Rose responded from the room.

Janet shook her head, and turn to the guest.

"Make yourself comfortable, she will join you soon." Janet said, and turn on her heels.

A few minutes later, Rose walked out to find her friend Alex.

"Hey, Alex, thanks for being patient."

"It's okay, why are you up late? Ain't you supposed to be at work?" She asked.

Rose start playing with her nails, she can't tell Alex she slept late because she couldn't stop thinking about her encounter with John.

"It's nothing, let's get going, I'm ready."

"Rose Mary, you haven't answered my questions, why are you late for work?"

Rose ignored her, and walk outside. Alex quickly stood up and followed behind.

Immediately they were both seated in
