"I feel like I haven't seen you in forever," Beverly sang as she strutted into my bedroom and rushed to Brinney instead of me and I rolled my eyes. "Oh, I mean, and you," she said with a head tilt before a smile grew across her face and she came to hug me. 

"How are you?" I asked her as she sat down on my bed and took off her high heels. 

"I'm good," she said to me and then smiled at me, "but you're the one I should be worried about, your wedding's in a couple of weeks. I mean, what, you have two weeks left?" 

"A little bit more than two weeks actually," I corrected her, as if that would help my case but I know damn well that's very little time. 

"Hm," she placed her hand beneath her chin, "are you planning on striking any time soon because, now's the time?" She asked me and I bit my bottom lip and then nodded.
