CHAPTER 31

Alex stayed behind Mark, pointing her firearm on the ground as the agents in front of them rammed through the door. She immediately noticed that the hallway is dimly lit from the emergency lights that were strategically placed.

“We’re in,” Mark informed over the radio. “The gym is fifty feet away from our position.

“We’re by the locker rooms of the gym already,” she heard Zachary’s voice.

She looked towards the hallway and caught a glimpse of the SWAT team from the window going through the entrance opposite from where they went in. She could hear muffled cries from the gym as well as shouts and orders from the gunmen.

“We need to split up,” Mark instructed.

Alex pulled out her phone and checked the images of the plan that Zach had sent to them before they took off. She looked at the location of the gym as well it’s neighboring areas. She then pocketed it and let the rifle hang over h
