Ben swept Aliyah into his arms like it was nothing, something about him carrying her like this made her feel like this wasn't the first time, or the second time, the time she had passed out after getting drunk, no way before that.

It seemed so natural, that he didn't even bat an eye, he lifted her and dropped her in the vehicle like it was nothing.

Her anger toward him hadn't subsided entirely, but for some reason, she just couldn't find it in her to vent to him. He seemed more calm and compassionate than he had ever been and it made her wonder how one would go from one end to the other throughout one night. An unpredictable man he was.

The drive back home seemed to stretch on to eternity. The eerie silence gently lulled her tired eyes to sleep, she had been through too much for a night, and she hoped that when she woke up all the memories would be washed away from the back of her mind.
