21 ~ Leo

The rhythm of the classical song that played in the background filtered into my ears and I found myself humming along with it. It was yet another function. However, Aurora was not on my arm, Leah accompanied me this time.

"I'm back," She sighed, returning from her bathroom break.

"Finally. I thought you'd left me to die of boredom." I said exaggeratedly.

She chuckled, "I love you too much to let that happen to you."

"Thank you." I exhaled.

"It's not so bad." She said to encourage me.

"There's a reason my dad makes me attend these functions." I told her.

"Networking?"

"That. And he doesn't want to die of boredom."

"Oh Leo," She shook her head, looked away and looked back at me.

"What? Is there something on my face?" I questioned.

"I'm not staring at you silly. There's some girl who doesn't want to get her eyes off you over there."

"Who?" I asked in surprise, willing to turn and see for myself.

Leah gripped my arm quickly, "Don't turn. She's walking this way."
