"I don't know why she keeps calling. She even invited me to her wedding." I vented to Rick at the office that afternoon.

Melody had been calling and texting me nonstop and inasmuch as I tried to avoid her, she was persistent. She even threatened to come to the office to see me herself if I did not respond to her texts. I was tired.
