Chapter 39.

Shopping and a prom invitation.

Ava.

My best friends, Joy and Mia, barge into my room as soon as I finish taking a shower and eating my breakfast and drag me back into the living room. Joy and Mia have set up a movie marathon for us and are determined to watch as many movies as possible. We ended up watching five movies throughout the day and had a lot of fun.

"Ava, we need to go shopping, and have some girl time," Mia says.

"I am in, count me in, Mia," Joy exclaimed joyfully.

"All right," I say. "Let's do that, but we'll need some cash to buy what we're going to buy."

"No worries. We've already spoken with the king, and he's given us his black card," Mia whispers as she shows me the card.

"All right, let's go." We all got into the car. Mia graciously offered to drive us.
