Chapter Thirty Nine- Cuts Like A Knife

Amara’s POV

I have waited four months for Danielle to get her karma. Some lacerations scarred, but it wasn't the constant memory of her success on my skin that made me vengeful. It was the time away from Jackson. So what was another hour or so?

“Everything is going to be fine…” Cutter attempted to soothe me as I was bouncing on the balls of my feet while seated in the car. But all I could think about was Jackson being alone with her. What if he liked the experience she had? What if he got stuck somewhere that we couldn't get to him? What if she had known that this was a ruse all along?
