Kaya’s POV
The wind blew through the half-drawn car window, allowing me to take in fresh gasps of fresh air I so desperately needed. My heart was beating harder the closer I got to school, and I couldn’t stop my fingers from tapping so nervously on the side of my chair as Ally drove towards it.
She turned to me, glancing down at my hand before I could feel her eyes on the side of my face, "Look, if you really feel like you don't want to be here, we can just go home. Like, if all this mate thing is too much on you…." She trailed off when I gave her a look, shaking my head.
”I'm here already and it's just like every other day, I can do this,” I stiffed back a reply, “.All I'm going to do is pretend I don't notice him as usual and he won't pay attention...as usual" I finished replaying the sentence in my head.

Abigail placed the last plate on the metal puddle they used to call a counter."I think we should eat in the dining room today,” Anna suggested taking the plates off before they could slip off the disfigured counter, with a sigh, before walking towards the dining room disappearing from view.Abigail sighed, folding her apron as Anna came back, "they're still upstairs?" Azians POVWe stared into her concerned pleading eyes.Alpha wasn't for it at all. He didn't like the plan and honestly neither did Omega and me. It seemed easier to just do away with her. Azian had completely frozen in position for a total of thirty seconds, causing the rest of the gang to stare off in confusion. Abigail called out his name a few times but when nothing happened she walked toward him worriedly but took the same steps back when he suddenly burst into a fiery glow. An unearthly sound suddenly emerged from what seemed like nowhere, so high yet so shrill and loud. It reminded Abigail of the first time she had met Azian when he first froze time. His skin was glowing and underneath, much like the previous night, his veins began to glow, starting from his hands all the way up to his neck swerving around his closed eyes. Abigail gasped pulling Alessia behind her protectively watching as they glowed brighter underneath his skin. Khloe took a shaky step back, away from him, his heat swerved around him in waves. Abigail run into the bathroom as the barrier spell was let loose pausing in the middle where Azian and Kaya once stood breathlessly, staring up at the hole in the ceiling not able to see Azian anywhere. Her eyebrows furrowing as she stared at the blue sky –"What in the hell just happened?! Where is Kaya!?" Aunt Lily screeched looking at the gang. Her eyes were as wide as saucers as the wind blew in from the hole in the roof.Liam was speechless not understanding what he had just seen, his mind trying to replay the scene that had just occurred before his eyes. "Kaya. B-boy w-with wings?” He asked widening his eyes. He shook his head rubbing his face trying to wake up from the strange dream.A dream where his daughter had been taken way up into a sky by some boy he had recognized had been dating his other daughter but had suddenly grown a nasty pair of gold-plated wings and some wicked teeth.
