Chapter 46

“How are you coping with your other secretaries? Did you take my advice or did you end up firing everyone?”

She asked. She didn’t want the place to be quiet because left with her thoughts she could only think of strange things that she had no business thinking about. He looked up at her.

“Now you are concerned? I practically begged you to stay with me but you said no and chased me away from your apartment. You didn’t even stop there, you blocked me everywhere, you are mean,”

He let out. He was making her feel guilty with how he said it but then she reminded herself why she had decided to quit.

“I would have left either way, I was sick for most of last month and I could barely do a thing, even if I had stayed working for you, I wouldn’t have been able to do it for long,”

She informed him.

“I am sorry you went through the first few months of pregnancy alone while I was a jerk to you,”

She didn’t expect him to apologize at all. The fact that he did throw her off balance for a moment.
