Chapter Seventy-Eight

It’s really hard to describe the feeling erupting in my chest as the nurses pushed me away from the hospital room, Chris grabbing my hand and pulling me out, comforting me softly as I tried to run back into the room.

The doctors filed into the room and I held Chris tightly, crying into his chest. These past few days have been too much, and the one thing I need was James, who was in a coma because of that bastard Shawn.

“I’m going to murder Shawn!” I growled, Celeste talking through me as I pulled away from Chris, but he held me back before I could go far.

“Calm down, Rosa. James is going to be fine, I promise.” He held me tight while I tried to calm my sobbing. If it was not because of Shawn’s greed, I wouldn’t have been here. James wouldn’t have been here.

“He deserves to die! He, Lola, everyone!” I sobbed, and Chris softly patted my head as we stood in the hall. I cried my heart out, and Chris didn’t seem to bother about the way I wet his clothes with my tears.
