How Did I Get Here?

Britney's POV.

I slowly regained consciousness, my eyelids heavy as if they were weighed down by bricks.

Pain coursed through every inch of my body, making me wince and cringe.

It felt like my head was engaged in a wild drum solo, pounding relentlessly against the inside of my skull.

Amidst the agony, a constant beeping sound pierced through the room, drilling into my ears with its relentless volume.

With a mix of curiosity and trepidation, I made up my mind to open my eyes, even though it felt like I was lifting boulders.

As the slits of my vision widened, a blinding, fluorescent white light greeted me, as if an entire solar system had materialised before me.

The intensity of it all made my headache even more, but then, I realised that it was a relief to see something after being trapped in darkness.

Suddenly, confusion swirled in my mind like a tornado, blending with the throbbing pain that refused to relent.

A hushed voice escaped my lips, barely audible an
