But once they reached the green room where the panelists were meeting each other before going out on stage, Everly relaxed. And that had amazed him. After all, she was meeting A-list stars and a director who was notorious for being a pain in the behind. He’d thought her tension had been caused by shyness, but he was obviously wrong. He was too aware that Everly was in his guest house. Their meeting had certainly gone differently than he’d expected, but he’d gotten to know her better really quickly. Lennon texted and asked Everly to let him know when she was awake. When she said she already was, he threw on some clothes and walked down the road to see her. As he walked, Lennon thought about her anxiety and what it might mean for them. He knew she was more worried about it than he was.
