"Save my family. Please! That's all I ask for." Fernando pleaded, his knees upon the rough ground and his gaze descending on it. His eyes grew misty as he reflected on his actions. So many innocent ones have lost their lives and families because of his frequent information about them to Stone. He was the "rat" in the gang. Things were not always like this. He grew up with his mom here and left for college as an obedient and responsible boy, but at college, he met guys who loved crimes and for one reason or the other, he felt the need to belong and all. He enjoyed his stay with them while in school, that was how he ran into Stone and began working for him in secret. The other guys in the cartel knew not of his business with Stone. He was the shadow of the night.

Later on, he met Mia and fell in love with her. She liked him but declined his proposal because of his unruly ways. Then he had to choose between his friends, Stone's deal and Mia. Finally, he chose Mia and that irritated Stone
