Chapter 115: No Match
A few minutes ago within the chamber where the world tree crystal resides, Crymillia and Azazel were clashing repeatedly. Matthew did not make a move and kept watching. He was so amazed at the fight that he completely forgot what he came here for in the first place.
He looked at the ball of roots where the crystal was. He glanced up at the fighters for a second before he slowly moved towards the roots. Just like before, the roots opened up but only enough for a fist to fit through.
Matthew assumed that the tree wanted him to take it. He made sure Crymillia and Azazel were not looking his way before reaching his hand into the roots to grab the crystal and run away.
To his surprise, he got sucked into the void of the tree’s consciousness again. He did not expect this to happen and panickedly looked around.
