Chapter 146: In The Trickster's Care pt.1

Rose woke up in a room. It was already bright outside as the white sunlight shone through the open window. She felt a slight pain in her head, probably from being hit earlier. She remembered everything.

Judging from the time of day, at least an entire day had passed. This room was unfamiliar. The walls were made from wood while the furniture was very simple. The window showed the scenery outside. The area was surrounded by trees and there was also a faint sound of water flowing, a river perhaps.

Rose did not know where she was but she knew she must get out of there. She got out of bed and checked herself. It seemed that she was unharmed. She reached for the door and opened it.

To her surprise, there was someone already standing behind the door. The man also seemed surprised as well.

“Oh, so you’re up-”
