Chapter 88: Yuki's Past
Matthew, Cecilia and Yuki were gathered in Rose’s room. After Sara left, they had done nothing but sit and wait until Rose woke up. Yet Rose showed no sign of it.
She was sweating and breathing heavily. Magic could only heal physical damage, but not diseases or natural illness. So all they could do was hope that Rose managed to pull through.
“Hey, uhh Matthew.” Yuki suddenly spoke out of the blue. “I know this isn’t really a good time, but I’m sorry.”
“I told you it’s not your fault. But I’m sorry too, for getting angry last night.”
“It’s- it’s fine, I understand that I wasn’t really useful.”
“Stop saying that!” Matthew accidentally shouted. The room fell silent, not even the sound of wind came. Matthew repositioned his chair and sat properly. “Sorry.”
