SETH POV.

Crashing through the door and landing on my feet, I scanned the room where I'd sensed Fatimah and Alaric, my heart burning like hot lava in my chest. I was mad. I was raging. Everything had gone to shit! It also didn't help that the memory of Killing my mother's body once again even tho it wasn't really her kept replaying in my head.

Someone was huddled in the corner, a dark cloth covering her skin. It was Fatimah, and although she'd almost been sucked dry, she was still alive.

I stepped toward her, the sunlight streaming into the room behind me. I touched her cheek and she was so weak, she was barely conscious.

Alaric! The damn bastard. He'd gotten away for the last time. I knew he had Dawn because the first thing I did once the crushing wave of guilt, pain, and emptiness washed away was to go searching for her. She had been nowhere to be found, and I didn't think it was possible but it made me die a little more inside.

Just thinking about it made me want to wreak
