Chapter Fourty

Alex was being on his best behaviour by helping his aunt set the table for dinner when they both heard the doorbell ring.

“Are you expecting someone?” she looked up at Alex, Alex shaking his head. “I’m not expecting anyone either and I don’t think Lucas is. Do you mind going to check who it may be?”

He nodded and dropped the plate in his hand then walked over to the door. Without bothering to check who it was through the door hole, he opened the door.

“Hi,” Seb replied Alex’s questioning and surprised look with a smile.

“What are you doing here?” Alex asked, looking inside to check on his aunt. “I wasn’t expecting you here.”
