“But I want to be an accountant, mom?”

“No, you should take journalism, Alex. My boss has promised to give you a position in our company after you graduated.”

“But mom-”

“Alex, listen.” That’s where I know she wouldn’t let me win in this argument. “I have been working hard for you and Ayle to have a good life. The only thing you have to do for repaying me IS by taking the journalism degree and work on my boss’ company after you graduate.”

I let her go on and on about why I should take journalism. After around ten minutes or so, she hung up, telling me she has loads of job to do. We ended the call and I throw my phone to the bed.
