005 - Contracts and Binds (2)

Skimpy, Slutty, Short.

It was simply miserable that all the words that seemed to come to mind at the state of Lola’s current dress were just as shocking as the style itself. The fabric stopped right underneath her curves, hugging her round buttocks and accentuating her hourglass figure for all to see. It didn't help that the soft padding beneath her bust pushed out the fair tops of her breasts to full view.

Feeling the hot gazes of everyone in the room on every revealed inch of her body, Lola’s slender fingers reached for her cleavage to cover as much as she could, but Gavin’s soft laughter from behind forced her hands back to the side.

“I cannot wear this out there.” Lola finally spoke up, her voice was croaky like she would burst into tears any second from then. “I look more like a slut than a dancer in this.”

The smile on Gavin’s face was slowly replaced with a dissatisfied frown. “It seems like the girl has something to say to me.” He said, his eyes not leaving Lola’s clouded ones as he spoke to the others in the room. “Give us some privacy.”

Lola crossed her arms and watched as Iggy walked out behind Camila with an enigmatic smile on his face. Chesa, on the other hand, hesitated for a while before reaching for the doorknob, her eyes sending Lola a silent warning before shutting the door behind her.

“Thousands.” Gavin’s caustic voice suddenly boomed, startling Lola.

“I paid thousands of dollars to have you on my stage tonight.” He continued and took a step closer to Lola with each cold word he uttered until he stood right before her. “So in case you misunderstood my words girl, I wasn’t making a request. If I ask you to wear the goddamn dress, then you f**king wear it and do what the f**k you are paid to do or you give me back my money. And trust me, honey, when I say I’ll get every single penny that I’ve spent to sign that little contract with your little agency back in tenfolds.”

“Your boss seemed desperate enough to send you down here for my money, so we both know that he wouldn’t blink an eye to make you cover the compensation fee for breaching this contract.”

Lola’s fingers bore into the palm of her hands till they hurt as Gavin’s words sank in.

Money.

It was the very reason why she had accepted this job in the first place. Her stomach churned inwardly as she stared past Gavin to look at her dolled-up reflection in the mirror.

Though she hated to admit it, deep down, she knew that the man’s words were not so far from the truth. Brett Miller didn’t give a f**k about her.

Lola swallowed as she stared up at Gavin, her dewy, fierce eyes finally dimming as she did.

Gone was the man who had welcomed her in with a big smile on his face. In the place of that previous smile was an expression that threaded the worst of fears in her stomach, bringing them to perfect light.

She needed this money and it did not matter that her sixth sense warned her to reach for the door and flee from whatever insanity she had put herself into.

She could not refuse this job. She had no right to.

Convinced by Lola's now tightly shut lips and defeated expression, the sides of Gavin's lips curved up with a bright smile once more and he gently patted down her fiery hair with his palm. "That's it, girl. Just do the right thing out there tonight and we will be done with this business in no time."

Lola bit down hard on her lips as she followed quietly behind Gavin to God knows where. There was no sign of Chesa, Iggy, or Camila as they walked down the long corridor.

"We are almost there," Gavin announced as a sudden rhythm of vibrations on the floor kept Lola alert. The sound of the beats increased as they walked and got even louder when Gavin suddenly halted in front of a door with a new set of bodyguards guarding the entrance to the place where Lola assumed the music was coming from.

“Here now,” Gavin said as he turned to face Lola with yet another bright smile on his face.

His smile which had been initially harmless, now only made the knots in Lola’s stomach tighten, a cold sweat broke down her back and her thoughts started to run wild.

Was it too late to back out now?

“Don’t tell me you are thinking about backing out of our little agreement, honey?.” Gavin asked like

a suspecting dirty goblin as he observed Lola’s darting eyes with a narrowed gaze.

Tensed at the possibility of such happening, the two bodyguards suddenly took a step forward and Lola took two cautious steps backward as she forced the words out. “I’m so sorry Gavin…I don’t think I’m fit for this job.” She stuttered as she took one more glance at the door and swallowed.

It was so thick that she could feel it, whatever was behind that door, was not good for her.

Lola suddenly yelped when her back hit a hard human wall and she turned to see two more bodyguards staring down coldly at her, daring her to try to run away.

When did they get here? She thought, her fears increasing in leaps and bounds.

Gavin paused for a second, staring at Lola intensely before shaking with maniacal laughter. “I thought I made this clear enough honey, I am not negotiating with you.”

“No!…” Lola cried as a bag was suddenly flung down her face and everywhere went dark.

~

The loud music and noisy cheers in her surroundings made Lola uneasy as the hands holding her roughly finally let her go. Her aching hands were then tied to a cold metal against her back and the cloth bag over her head was instantly yanked away.

The cheers got louder as Lola’s eyes slowly adjusted to the low lightening in the room and her eyes almost popped out of their sockets when she took in the details of her surroundings.

She was on a stage in some sort of club and every eye in the room was centered on her.

Men in designer suits screaming luxury were everywhere, they were seated around the tables in the round room, while some men were standing close to the stage with wineglasses in their hands as they watched her curiously with masquerade ball masks covering their upper faces.

Ladies in very skimpy revealing wears paraded about the room, almost paying her no attention as they diligently attended to the men who wouldn’t just stop looking at her.

Considering the way she was brought in, it was understandable that they stared, but what in the goddamn hell was this place?.

~

Not far away from the stage, in a dark, VVIP area of the club, a man sat with his long legs folded elegantly. Covering almost half of his face, from his nose down to his chiseled jawline was the same kind of mask worn by the other men in the room. Although he got a decent view of the stage from where he sat, a monitor placed on the table in front of him gave an even clearer picture of the stage for his viewing pleasure.

He had been bored all night and was only about to leave, but something about the tied-up girl drew his attention.

From the screen, he saw her lift her head and though her fiery red hair covered about half of her face, his hands which held his drink shook and the glass fell and scattered with its contents spilling all over the floor.

“Fuck, man!.” Tyler exclaimed as he signaled one of the waitresses over to clean up the mess his friend had made. “You would be chasing all the girls away at this rate!.”

The waitress spent more time cleaning than usual. Her eyes sparkled as she kept glancing in Noah’s direction. She inched closer to brush against Noah’s legs but Tyler was quick to spot her intentions and he snapped his fingers, making the waitress jolt back to order.

When he noticed that Noah who was always observant of such little things had not noticed the waitress’s little ‘attempt’, Tyler turned to the monitor to see what kept Noah so occupied and his jaw almost dropped at the sight before him.

That woman. Was she not…

“Lola,” Noah growled, confirming Tyler’s doubts.
