088 - Perfect Strangers

Noah raised an eyebrow on hearing the receptionist’s complaints. “Is that so?.” He asked the lying woman.

The receptionist blinked rapidly and looked downwards innocently. “Yes sir.” She lied again in a meek tone.

It was evening time and most of the building’s residents had returned from their various places of work at this time of the day. The people in the reception hall had been present from the start of the whole incident and were now gathered around Noah and the two women. They looked at the shameless receptionist completely disgusted at her slyness.

“How could someone like her get employed here?.” One of the women muttered with discontent to her friend.

“Yeah right?. she is not only lacking in manners but she’s also a liar.”

Lola only watched the woman lie with her fists tightly clenched by her sides. Knowing how cold Noah was, she wondered who he was going to side with... this receptionist or.. would he side with her? The latter thought appeared impossible.
