Chapter Nineteen

Finn's POV:

"No problem. How’s the corporate take-over world treating you?” Jael asked, as he handed me the glass.

“I finally got my company,” I said with a genuine smile. I didn’t have to explain what that company was. jael had grown up with him. He’d been there when Lilith left me and he’d been there by my side as i plotted my revenge.

Jael was from the same area i was and had been just as determined to get out. It had always been me, Jael and our other cousin Philip. Our fathers were all brothers so they shared the same last name. Philip parents had died in a horrible auto accident when he was ten years old and he’d moved in with Jael, next door to me. The three of us had been inseparable.

We had all left at twenty years old and made successes of their lives. Though we stayed in touch, as much as our work would allow and sometimes I really hated the distance that divided us.

“That’s beyond great Finn, how did it all happen?” Jael asked with genuine interest.
