Motorcycle Ride

"Don't stay away.... Please, I don't know why, but it didn't hurt..." Carly cut in. Reed was shocked but didn't show it, he didn't say a word either, just stared at her.

"Please... don't stay away," Carly said again, pouting her lips. Reed just chuckled and held her hand, leading her to his car. She kept mute, watching him.

He opened the back seat for her, and she got in. "Stay here..." He said and ran back to the convenience store. He came back with a shopping bag and handed it to Carly.

She looked at him, and he gestured for her to open it. She blinked and looked down at the items: warm drinks, soup, tissues, pain relievers, a bottle of water, and a bar of chocolate. Carly raised her head, and their eyes met, she was lost for words.

"Is it not enough? Did I miss something?" Reed suddenly asked, and Carly quickly shook her head.

"No! No... I'm really grateful, but don't you think this is too-"

"You can just pay me for it at school tomorrow. When is your class ending?
