Chapter 55: Already Engaged

On the other side, Diana walked stealthily behind the unmanned rockery holding her phone and called John.

John's familiar voice came from the other end of the phone quickly, "What's up?"

"Well, you sent me flowers today..."

As soon as she heard John's voice, Diana's tone softened instantly, and her face showed a hint of flattery.

"Um."

John was in his office, sitting behind his desk and looking at Jackson standing in front of him with a nervous expression. He turned his gaze and whispered, "Do you like them?"

"Well, I had your man take them back..."

At these words, John's expression stiffened and a hint of gloom flashed in his eyes.

Seeing John's face wasn't right, Jackson's feet instantly went weak.

This was it!

He was going to retire in Siberia!

"But I really like the flowers!" Diana quickly explained, "It's just that it was too big of a bouquet for me to carry. I have an exam this afternoon!"<
