Tranced in the overwhelming dark forest

Mara could not understand what had happened to her or how she got to the forest. Perhaps she had been sleepwalking, but this was way too much.

She had no idea but suddenly realized she was standing in the middle of the forest, staring straight into the full moon above her.

Mara had been caught up in some trance, and when she realized what had happened, she found she was barefooted without footwear.

Her legs were dirty and cold, and so was her entire body. She must have been through some thickets

because all around her waist and down to her toes were signs that something had happened to her.

There were thorns here and there, and some did cut into her but not too deep. Her robe had holes and patches also.

Mara stared around her, confused at the overwhelming darkness.

While she had been in her trance state, she had heard wolves howling but now that she was no longer in a trance, she did not know if they were real.
