CHAPTER 56. DON'T GET ME WRONG

Angelina felt even more awkward. Not only was she eating alone with her boss, but the atmosphere of the table she had booked was different from the other tables. It seemed warmer... romantic, perhaps? And Angelina just realized that. Angelina's thoughts began to drift.

'Josh must know I'm Alex's acquaintance, right? And why is he doing this? I feel--'

"What are you thinking, Angelina?" asked Josh, who saw that Angelina continued to move restlessly with her mouth open like she was casting a spell.

"Ah? No, sir. I'm not thinking about anything," Angelina replied nervously.

Josh chuckled. "Did you think I was going to ask you out?"

"What?"

The question Josh asked managed to make Angelina round her eyes. It looks like the man can read Angelina's heart. The girl was even more uncomfortable. Especially when she found Josh laughing again.

"Sir, Miss, this is your food," said one of the waiters who delivered the food to the table that Alex had ordered.

"Thank you," Josh replied with a smile.
