“Formally, we needed you to seal the deal and get back here in a week and then the gamma would handle the security there for a while until everything is settled but your father needed help and the Gamma had to go with some warriors and now that leaves you as the third strongest werewolf, you'll have to take charge until the Gamma returns.” Mom was explaining things to me like she was not my mother and she did not know that I hated being here.

“But Mom, you told me it would be a week, you know how much I hated coming here. Do you want Jackson to find out about the boys, mom? You know that if I represent the alpha then I would have to see Jackson every day, I might even move to the pack house because I'd have to keep a close watch, Mom please don't make me do this.” I was almost crying

“I’m sorry dear but I cannot do anything about it. I didn't want you there in the first place but I have no choice. I want you to know that no matter what happens, you cannot keep the boys away
